Hello, we are Marc and Gaby
We have travelled the whole world together and still are doing so, but to relax and enjoy the peaceful life we come to Montecchio. There, in the green heart of Italy, between Florence and Rome, we enjoy the southern sunshine, the mediteranean hospitality and gastronomy and the beautiful landscape amongst the olive groves.
What started as an incidental passage in the area, has now become our second home away from home for us, our children, grandchildren, family, friends and who knows, maybe for you too.

Case l'Arcobaleno
We offer a unique locations Case l'Arcobaleno: a private property with 3 holiday homes, each for up to 4 guests. The homes can be rented individually or all together : ideal for a group holiday amongst family or friends, giving you the opportunity to spent time together but with the possibility of privacy. For leisure there is, besides the big pool, a ping pong table at your disposal.

The area
From olive groves and enchanted villages to Orvieto wine or Saint Peters's square in Rome : from Montecchio you have a large choice of excursions. Some of the distances :
- The village of Montecchio with many shopping, drinking and dining options: 20 min walk. Take part in village life or take a walk to the Valle di San Lorenzo, an Etruscan cemetery
- Nearest larger town: Orvieto, 20km away, with its impressive Duomo
- Assisi : home of Saint Francis
- Perugia: the cozy university town
- Spoleto : with its Rocca, its bridge, the Roman theater and the works of Filippo Lippi in the Cathedral
- Todi : with the view over the rolling Umbrian landscape
- Città della Pieve : picturesque town, home of the painter Pietro Vannucci (il Perugino)
- Montefaclo : known for its red wines, including the Sagrantino di Montefalco
- Gubbio with its Cathedrals, teatro romano, Abbazia di Vallingegno, etc
- Spello
- Foligno : frescoes in the Palazzo Trinci
- Narni : is the geographical center of Italy and was an important Roman settlement in the past
- the Cascata delle Marmore in Terni : an artificial waterfall, built in 271 BC. by the Romans
- Monte Castello di Vibio : houses the smallest theater in the world, with only 99 seats
- The impressive Lago di Bolsena or Lake Trasimeno for a day at the beach
- Viterbo, where the popes had their residence for a while
- Cività di Bagnoregio : where you imagine yourself 500 years back in time, completely traffic-free

- The center of Rome: 1h30 drive (by train an hour)
- The center of Firenze : 2 hours drive
